How DTG and DTF printing works?
Here we will briefly explain the printing of our designs. So that it is clear what technology was used in a particular design.
How DTG printing works?
- Printing technique where ink is sprayed onto garments, much like printing on paper.
- Printed using non-toxic vegan inks that ensure the garments are safe for adults and children.
- Printed designs soak into the clothing fibers.
- Don’t sit on top of the fabric. Remain uncracked over time. Aren’t stiff and feel comfortable to wear.
How DTF printing works?
- Direct-to-film prints are durable and don’t fade with use.
- The design is directly printed onto a special film using water-based inks.
- The film is then coated with a special adhesive powder and a heat press is used to transfer the design onto the fabric.
- Designs looking fresh even with heavy wash and wear.
- In fact, the print might feel slightly stiff at first but will wear in after a few washes.
- The ink doesn’t soak into the fabric but is pressed on top of the fabric with heat and a special adhesive powder, as a result, the printed designs are resistant to cracking and can handle heavy use and cold to lukewarm washes. However, if garments are washed in very hot water there’s a chance the design may develop small cracks.
- We recommend ironing garments inside out as ironing the print might change its color. For example, white design elements could turn yellow.
We hope you understand what the differences between printing are. Now you can choose the right technology for your next order. We've added a filter with a choice of printing technology to make it easier for you to find the product you're looking for.
